6. Graduated as “Honorman” both at the Basic Electronics & Electricity Preparatory School and at the Electrician’s Mate, Class “A”School.

8. SEA DUTY homeport, 1957-1961: San Diego, CA, 1957 where USS BLUEBACK (SS-581) was homeported.
9. Conducted “Deep Submergence” at “Run Silent, Run Deep” w/no air conditioning at different depths.
10. Embarked on a submerged snorkeling transit from Yokosuka, Japan, via Adak, Alaska, to San Diego for 14 days, riding on the sea flowing clockwise on the upper Pacific Ocean.

VIII - WAYS I HAD CROSSED THE PACIFIC & ATLANTIC OCEANS:
1. In 1957, I sailed on a surface ship with USNS SULTAN from Sangley Point, Cavite, via Honolulu, Hawaii, then to Oakland, CA.
2. In 1958, I sailed on the USS PICUDA (SS-382) a submarine, submerged, snorkeling, surface, from Key West, Florida, via Gibraltar and visiting the Mediterranan countries: Marseilles, France; Naples, Italy; Lisbon, Portugal;; London, Great Britain and return to Key West, Florida.
3. In 1969, I sailed on a submarine USS BLUEBACK (SS-581) submered, snorkeling, surface from San Diego, CA via Honolulu, Hawaii, then to Yokosuka, Japan; Hongkong; and return to San Diego from Yokosuka, Japan, via Adak, Alaska, snorkeling riding the clockwise sea tides on the North Pacific Ocean to San Diego for 14 days.
4. In 1964, flew from Pearl Harbor to Manila, Philippines and return to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
5. In 1964, I sailed on a submarine USs REMORA (SS-487) from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii patrolling the China coast from Port Said to Port Arthur during the Cuban Crisis and returned to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
6. In 1967, sailed on a surface ship USS VESOLE (DD-858) from Newport, Rhode Island to Lisbon, Portugal on a MED CRUISE, visiting Amsterdam, Holland; Barcelona, Spain; Marseilles, France;mNaples, Italy; Stavanger, Norway; and returned to Newport, Rhode Island.
7. In 1977, sailed on a surface ship USS COCOPA (ATF-101) from San Diego, CA to Guam; Yokosuka, Japan; Hongkong; Singapore; Bangkok, Thailand; touched briefly on a combat zone in Vietnam and returned to San Diego, CA.

1. Joined U.S. Civil Service, 1978-1998, at Fleet Combat Training Command & at Fleet Direction Combat Direction Systems Activity under the Space & Warfare Command, San Diego, CA.
2. Attended National University earning MBA in Real Estate 1978 financed by GI Bill, graduating “With Distinction.”
3. My wife, Leticia, was naturalized as a US citizen at San Diego, CA, 1978.
4. Attended West Coast University earning MS in Computer Science 1980 financed by GI Bill.
5. Retired from U.S. Civil Service, October 1, 1998 as a GS-12.
6. Bought my final house (4th) Jan 1984 and settled at Tierrasanta suburb, San Diego, CA ever since.

X - FAVORITE SCHOOL STORY:
Our 4th grade class under our Music teacher, Miss Omeng Alcasid taught us the "Blue Danube Waltz." We sang in many street corners in Canlubang; in the marketplace stair; in front of Jose Rizal monument; and crossroad between the hospital, cooperative store, Barrio Hospital street in front of the Reyes' residence. Whenever I hear the Blue Danube, I get goosebumps and my eyes well with tears.
